DESCRIPTION:DÍAS: 24 de junio al de 15 julio \nHORA: apertura del Centro Cultural. \nLUGAR: Sala de exposiciones Centro Cultural Pedro de Lorenzo. \nEl músico Joaquín Díaz ha comparado alguna vez la tradición con un río: «Las orillas corresponden a los límites de la cultura popular\, y el caudal serían todos esos conocimientos que\, en forma de corriente impetuosa\, se van acumulando a lo largo de los siglos». Para acercarnos al inagotable caudal de las músicas populares españolas\, nada mejor que la fotografía\, el lenguaje más eficaz para reconstruir nuestra devastada memoria común.\nEsta exposición pretende mostrar una parte de la historia de la fotografía tradicional española a lo largo de un siglo acotado cronológicamente entre los días del daguerrotipo y la víspera de la transición democrática. Un siglo en el que las músicas populares alcanzaron un notable reconocimiento social y cultural motivado por las reivindicaciones identitarias del Romanticismo y el trabajo pionero de músicos e intelectuales como Perfecto Feijoo\, Agapito Marazuela\, Menéndez Pidal\, Manuel de Falla\, Federico García Lorca\, los miembros de las Misiones Pedagógicas de la Segunda República\, Julio Caro Baroja y las mentes más preclaras que inspiraron los Coros y Danzas de la Sección Femenina.\nEn la muestra se reúnen obras de los más ilustres fotógrafos del momento\, como Clifford\, Laurent\, Alfonso y Santos Yubero\, y de grandes fotógrafos populares como Casiano Alguacil\, Luis Escobar o Baltasar Cue.
