DESCRIPTION:LUGAR: sala de exposiciones Centro Cultural Pedro de Lorenzo; \nFECHAS: 10 de septiembre al 3 de octubre.  \n¿Sabías que más de quinientos western fueron rodados en Europa y\, de éstos\, más de doscientos en la Comunidad de Madrid? Una cifra que supera los rodajes de este género de otras zonas de España a las que tradicionalmente se asocia a este fenómeno. \nExiste un fascinación colectiva por los iconos y elementos del Far West\, por las diligencias\, los sombreros\, los guardapolvos\, los ponchos o los penachos de plumas. Sin ser parte de nuestra cultura\, la historia de la segunda década del siglo XIX de los EE.UU.\, y la construcción del territorio del Oeste\, nos es familiar al cine. Un cine que se rodó también en la capital y pueblos de la actual Comunidad de Madrid\, tanto por parte de empresas americanas\, como de nacionales y europeas. \nGracias a los rodajes cinematográficos anglosajones que desembarcaban en Madrid\, y al nacimiento y auge del western producido en Europa\, se desarrolló una actividad económica singular en nuestra región. En Colmenar Viejo se construyó el decorado del primer poblado del Oeste de Europa. En Hoyo de Manzanares se levantó el primer poblado del Oeste ya de carácter estable de Europa\, y en él se rueda “Por un puñado de dólares”\, y arranca el fenómeno del Eurowestern. \nEn esta exposición se puede descubrir los principales enclaves de la Comunidad de Madrid donde trabajaron cineastas y artistas como Sergio Leone\, Robert Siodmak\, Raoul Walsh\, Richard Fleischer\, Robert Mitchum\, Charles Bronson\, Lee Van Cleef\, Robert Shaw\, Alain Delon\, Tom Berenguer o Lee Marvin.
